🧐 AI Didn’t recommend you
The query is "best B2B CRM for a sales team under 50 people." AI Mode generates a recommendation. Three products are named with reasoning. Your product is not in the answer. Your page ranks fourth organically on that query.
This is the specific failure mode that decision-stage queries create in AI search, and it is different from every ranking problem before it. When a user reaches a traditional results page, ranking fourth still generates clicks.
When AI Mode generates a recommendation response to that same query, the user reads the answer and navigates directly to whatever it named. Position four on the organic results page becomes a second-screen outcome at best.
The mechanism behind why your page was excluded is fixable. AI Mode builds recommendation responses through fan-out retrieval: it generates sub-questions from the original query, crawls sources for each, and synthesises a final answer.
A query about CRM tools for small sales teams generates sub-questions about onboarding ease, pipeline visibility, pricing tiers, and user reviews. A page optimised for the head keyword but not structured to answer those sub-questions fails the retrieval process even when it ranks well organically.
On July 9, Jairo Guerrero, Founder of Organic Hackers, is joining AirOps to cover exactly where pages break in that pipeline, the technical checks, server log signals, and structured data fixes that determine whether a page gets considered for the AI recommendation at all. The audit runs in three steps. Run your top commercial intent queries through AI Mode and identify which generate recommendation responses rather than standard results.
For each recommendation response, record which sources are cited and what specific claims they make, those claims reveal the sub-questions the fan-out generated.
Then check your existing pages against that claim list. Every sub-question your content does not address is a gap a competitor is currently filling inside the AI answer. The gaps are specific and closeable.
Decision-stage and comparison queries are where fan-out retrieval is most active and where citation has the most direct conversion impact. Build the audit around those queries first. The informational layer compounds on its own if the decision-stage content is strong enough.
⚡ Subscription Retention Is Becoming a Memory Problem, Not a Billing Problem

This framework argues that subscription churn often happens when customers forget the value they're receiving. As subscriptions become easier to cancel and consumers become more selective, retention depends less on payment mechanics and more on reinforcing outcomes. The challenge is keeping the original problem and its solution visible over time.
Why it works: Customers rarely cancel products that are actively solving a meaningful problem. Reminding subscribers of results achieved, habits maintained, or pain avoided reconnects the subscription to the value they originally purchased. The strongest retention programs reinforce progress, not just upcoming charges.
Where it needs balance: Overusing loss-aversion tactics can feel manipulative and damage trust. Customers should stay because they continue receiving value, not because they feel trapped. The best retention systems combine transparent billing, easy account management, and ongoing proof that the subscription remains worth keeping.

🎥 Reel of the Day

What Works:
The clap creates curiosity instantly. Viewers need to understand why a random customer is being asked to clap, driving retention.
Confusion makes the interaction feel real. Her genuine "Can I what?" response removes scripted vibes and increases audience trust.
The mechanism is more memorable than food. People share clever concepts far more often than attractive product shots.
Create a tiny ritual before the reveal. Anticipation makes ordinary products feel earned, memorable, interactive, and dramatically more engaging.
