🎯 The 30% line in Meta's new partnership ads data, and how to cross it before black friday

The signal

Meta's creator white paper, published October 7, pooled 20 conversion lift studies from EMEA advertisers run between January and June 2025. In campaigns where over 30% of the assets were partnership ads, the median cost per incremental purchase came in 45% lower and incremental ROAS 35% higher. A separate set of 14 brand lift studies used a lower bar, partnership ads at more than 20% of spend, and found 71% higher purchase-intent lift.

The read

Meta's advice in the paper is to mix creator content into your existing strategy, alongside your own ads. So the job before Black Friday is a share problem: get enough partnership assets into the campaigns that already work. One caveat worth repeating to your CFO: the EMEA result was reported at 92% confidence, below the usual 95% bar. Treat it as a strong hint to test.

The moves

  1. Count your share today. In your main sales campaign, divide active partnership ads by total active ads. My judgment: plenty of accounts sit well under 30%, so check yours.
  2. Add them to the same ad sets. A separate campaign splits budget and learning, in my judgment. Mixed in, Meta can compare them against your current ads on the same audience.
  3. Track spend share, too. Asset share and spend share drift apart. If partnership ads are 30% of assets but get 8% of spend, the system is calling them losers early. Give them a full conversion cycle before pausing.
  4. Book a December lift test. Meta's paper suggests three to eight weeks for conversion lift. Start it after Cyber Monday so holiday swings stay out of the read, and you'll have an answer before Q1 budgets lock.

The watch list

  • Spend share versus asset share, every three days.
  • Frequency on your brand-handle ads, which should ease as new handles carry reach.
  • New-customer share of Meta orders.

Supply, sorted

The hard part of 30% is volume. Grapevine, now part of New Engen, produces distinct statics and UGC and posts them as whitelisted ads through its publisher handles in beauty, wellness, men's, parenting, finance and pets. Creator sourcing, briefs and payments are handled for you, and spend stays in your control.

Just Food for Dogs raised Grapevine's share of its paid media from 15% to 45% in six months. Kick off by November 30 for a free first campaign: 8 statics and 1 article, worth a combined $1,500. You can book your free demo.

⚡ Creative preferences can limit Meta ad performance

This framework argues that founders sometimes reject effective ad formats because they don't match their personal brand preferences. Removing proven creatives in favor of a more polished aesthetic can reduce creative diversity and weaken acquisition performance.

Why it works: Different creative formats appeal to different customer motivations and behaviors. Testing UGC alongside studio-produced content allows brands to reach broader audiences while letting actual conversion data guide creative decisions.

Where it needs balance: Performance shouldn't override brand positioning entirely. Some creatives may generate short-term conversions while weakening trust or attracting lower-quality customers. Brands should evaluate CAC, incremental sales, customer quality, and brand consistency before deciding which formats to scale.

🎥 Reel of the Day

What Works:

1. AI-Powered Product Reveal - A dramatic candy shower gradually reveals Summer Fridays-branded treats. The imaginative animation turns a simple product teaser into a visually captivating experience

2. Packaging Becomes the Hero - Metallic pink and chocolate-brown wrappers, gold detailing, and recognizable branding make the products look like premium confectionery, reinforcing the collection's indulgent positioning.

3. Anticipation Without Spoiling the Launch - The caption asks viewers to guess what's coming next instead of revealing everything. This builds curiosity, encourages speculation in the comments, and creates anticipation for the next announcement.

Turn product packaging into an unexpected visual spectacle using AI. Combine satisfying motion, a dramatic reveal, and an unanswered question to build excitement before a launch.
